The Craftsman Guild
Your company has been the same size for too long.
Ten owners of film companies. One year, working alongside me while I build Craftsman in real time. A vision for where the company is by December 2027, and one concrete 90-day goal every quarter to get there.
Applying starts with the four-minute owner's scorecard. The application is at the end.
You already know the pattern.
You built something real. A team, a reputation, clients who come back. And somewhere in the last five or ten years it stopped getting bigger. Every year starts at zero. The work still runs through you. The slate, the owned IP, the capital you keep meaning to raise: all of it keeps sliding to next year.
It is not a talent problem. You would not have lasted this long if it were. It is that the company is built around you, and nobody in your life has built the thing you are trying to build. So you carry it alone, and the ceiling stays exactly where it is.
Two versions of December 2027.
If nothing changes
- Same revenue, give or take a good year.
- Still chasing the next job in the same way.
- A month away still costs you too much to take.
- The slate is still a slide in a deck.
- You are a year older and a year more tired of it.
If you are in the room
- Four 90-day goals set, worked and measured, one a quarter.
- Nine peers who own shops and tell you the truth.
- A company that runs on systems, not on you.
- Offers and audience that bring the work to you.
- The next level of the company started, not postponed.
I cannot promise you a number. Nobody honest can. What I can promise is the room, the plan, and a year of someone holding you to the date. That has always been the missing piece.
Why me, and why now.
I am not teaching this from a retired seat. In 2027 I will be closing a film fund and taking our next films to market while you are in the room, and you will see the real decisions as I make them: the raise, the release, the numbers, the mistakes. Five features. The last three self-distributed. Brotherhood: A Cinematic Musical opens in theaters October 9, 2026, after a 20-plus-city preview tour, from a company I built from nothing.
This is not a course. There is no curriculum to watch. It is ten owners, one year, and the work on your actual company.
What the year includes.
- A 90-minute kickoff, one on one. In January we set the vision for where the company is by December 2027, and the one concrete goal you hit in the first 90 days.
- Your own personal dashboard, built custom for your business and your goals, so you can see the 90 days moving.
- A monthly cohort session. Live, two hours, with me and the other nine owners. Real problems, worked in the open, with peers who own shops.
- A quarterly one-on-one reset. We measure the last 90 days against the goal and set the next one, so the year never drifts.
- Open books on Craftsman. The fund raise, the releases and the decisions behind them, as they happen.
- The Craftsman Fellowship, included ($495 value). The full archive, the MOVIE framework, the private podcast and the monthly Q&A.
- First access to the Producer Retreat. A seven-day window before anyone else can buy, plus a second seat for someone on your team at half price.
Why ten.
Ten is not a capacity limit. It is the size of a room where everyone actually talks. Past ten, the peer conversation breaks and it turns into an audience. When the seats are gone, the next cohort opens in 2028, at a higher price.
Pay in full in December and many owners expense it in 2026, against this year's income. Check with your CPA.
Already did a half-day intensive with me? You get two months off: $10,000 paid in full, or $833 a month.
Apply for a seatApplication, then a 30-minute call, just the two of us. Seats go in the order the calls happen.
Is this for you?
- Who is it for?
- Owners of production companies, studios, distribution and post houses, and other film businesses with employees and $500K or more a year in revenue, who are ready to grow the company, not just the next project.
- Who is it not for?
- If you are a filmmaker working on your own projects, the Craftsman Fellowship is built for you and is a much better fit. The Guild is about the business, not the film.
- What happens after I apply?
- You pick a time for a 30-minute call right after you apply, and I read your application before we talk. If it is a fit, you get an invoice for the option you choose. If it is not, I will tell you honestly and point you to something that is.
- When does it start?
- January 2027. The 90-minute kickoffs are scheduled in the first weeks of the year.
Next December, your company will be different or it will be the same. Only one of those is still up to you.
