A Year for Brotherhood

Dear Friends,

As we begin 2026, many of us approach the new year with hope, motivation, and resolve. We have goals. Plans. Dreams for what will be.

But in other corners of our neighborhoods, a different year is beginning. A year of scary unknowns. Of gaping holes in holiday family photos. Of worries about how to eat, stay warm, and keep going when breadwinners are missing. Of wondering what more can be done to achieve a legal status in this country when fulfilling what the law asks seems to lead only to dead ends and long waits. A year when the souls of honest, hardworking people from many different countries cry out to God for relief and deliverance.

Some of their answers will come from heaven. But others will come from people like us. As you consider the start of this new year, we hope that “love my neighbor” is one of your resolutions — the kind that will last well past January. Because 2026 is a year for brotherhood.

It’s a year to reawaken the innate goodness and kindness that lives inside each of us. To remember that, no matter what makes us different, when it comes to our most fundamental needs and desires, we are the same. A year to recognize that we can all make a difference because we can all do simple everyday things to help others: get to know our neighbors, ask what they need, provide what we can, and help find other resources when we can’t.

And yes, along the way this year, we’re also making Brotherhood: A Cinematic Musical. In the months ahead, we’ll be casting, recording, rehearsing, filming, editing, and preparing the film to come to you in theaters in the fall. But we’ll also be reaching, and helping, and caring, and loving, and changing. 

Because for our team, Brotherhood isn’t just a film project. It’s a way of life we’re trying to embody. And we hope you’ll join us in that effort.
